With this activity, students will learn the names of the continents in the second language as well as approximate locations/where to find it on a typical (for us) map of theworld. I find it best to pull down the map of the world. Point and name each continent with students practicing the words. Then, have them to stand up and face the map. The teacher faces the map, (Get close, so they associate the actions with the locations of the continent.) and says the continents with these actions:

Preliminary Activity: Look in a social studies book. Using two fingers together, trace the shape/pattern of the oceans. Dance: Say the names of the oceans with the actions (Give it some musical rhythm.):
